East Sheen - The Odeon in Sheen Lane

This postcard, by Tuck, shows the magnificent Sheen Odeon in about 1957. The Odeon was opened as the Sheen Kinema, re-named Empire Cinema from 1940 and then taken over by the Odeon chain in 1944. The film showing is "Port Afrique" starring glamorous Pier Angeli. This came out in 1956.
