  Henry John Dutton 1835 - Went as student to Stepney College, London. October 1839 - returned to Cote and valicted as missionary. December 1839 - sailed for Jamaica. 1841 - working in St Ann's, Jamaica - the most (?) part of mission field; caring for Clarks Town, Stepney and Mount Zion churches which showed a net increase in 1841 of no less than 733. 1842 - baptised 220. The two settlements of Clarkson Ville and Bathany had 818 members, 550 enquirers, 5 day schools with 292 shcolars, and 3 Sunday schools with 1,100 students. 1845 - two churches had 829 members. Came home for furlough in 1845 and died shortly after his return in 1846.
