  Notes	The Scotts had two houses for the family (as it was large). They were well off! 'Uncle' Stan ran off with the money which was supposed to be for the Scott children. After the death of their parents, this resulted in the youngest of the children (Donald, Eileen and Laurence) having to be put into care. [9] Grandma was a Court dressmaker to top families. She used to make all of the clothes for her young children. She made Queenie and Vera's clothes to look alike as they were known as 'the twins' She would make wonderful ballgowns for top ladies and herself for grand dances. Grandpa was secretary of the cricket and gold clube and put on grand dances at home. They had a large room that extended from front to back of the Hampton Road house. They cleared the furniture and covered the floor with canvas and had a radiogram. Queenie remembers being allowed to stay up the night before the grand dances and dancing with Donald to the records and Albert coming in and saying 'Face you partners do de do'. She says she can hear his voice now. [14]
