  George's christening has not been found in the Parish records, nor has his marriage to Emma. They had 6 children christened in Farnborough between 1575 and 1592. (The christening of George, their son has not been found). The death of George Brooks at age 80 in 1617 is recorded in the Farnborough parish records. The Records of Farnborough manor contain the following: "Court Baron with View of Frankpledge of our Lord the King held there 6 October 15 James 1 (1617) At this Court George Broke made fealty and paid for one cottage lying at Farnborough, for two years rent owing - 2s. Increase of the annual rent - George Brook. To this Court came the aforesaid George Brook and George Brook his son and the Lord conceded to them in consideration of a parcel of land formerly in the tenure of widow Batt deceased, and the aforesaid cottage adjoining it, at the rent of 6s. per annum for both properties, to be paid in equal portions at Michaelmas and Lady Day. Court and View held 23 Oct 1618 - to this Court came George Brooke and paid for a new tenement (de novo tenements) and ? - 6s.8d. Similar entries for the Courts held in 1619,1620,1621. " The elder George appears to be George, b abt 1537. The 1617 entry would have been about three months before his death in January 1617/18. The October 1618 entry only mentions one George.
