  Note by Pauline Kennedy: In 1881, after their father's death, Albert John and Francis James TOLLIT were living with their sister Adelaide, who is shown as the wife of Joseph EMERTON. I have not found their mother in the 1881 census index. I am not sure if Adelaide did actually marry Joseph EMERTON, nor what happened to him. However, when her mother remarried in 1886, she witnessed the marriage as Adelaide TOLLIT, and she married Charles LEIGH in 1890 as Adelaide TOLLIT, spinster.
