• Notes

  Denny Hutton remembers... a lot about grandfather George Frederick Shepheard. When ever we visited the house in Mitcham, which was small, it always seem crammed with relatives and I used to come away with a pocketful of sixpences! His wife, Jessie, was blind but ruled the roost. Great Aunt Em lived next door and did most of the cooking and my memory of her is wearing a pinny with a fag (and ash of course) hanging from the corner of her mouth! I have yet to tie her in with the family.
