Deed no. 572157 registered March 24 1830 in the Registry of Deeds lists Joseph Fishbourne aged 16 years and upwards, as a witness to a deed of release between William Fishbourne the younger, of Hollymount and his wife Anna Maria Kelly, with respect to a court case involving his uncle (?) William F. (senior) of Carlow in the Co. of Carlow. The case related to John Gardiner and the estates of Thomas Kelly and Alicia Meyler, both deceased. Anna Maria Kelly was the daughter of Thomas Kelly. The only likely Joseph F. was bap. November 1809, and was therefore under 21 at the time he witnessed the signing of the deed. Hence, I presume, the statement that he was 16 years and upwards.

At his death he was aged 67 The PRO land dispute document records the Joseph Fishbourne who married Dinah Watson and Jane Going as the uncle of Gordon Finch Fishbourne b. 1843, the last child of William F. b. 1799, and Anchoretta Freeman. This establishes this Joseph b. 1809 as the brother of this William b. 1799. A Joseph Fishbourne of Killiney Park Co. Dublin, and Bachelor's Walk Dublin City was listed in the Irish probate Indexes as having a will proved in 1876. (Irish Land Commission Record no. E.C.5597 Box no. 1415)
