  	A large gathering attended the Temple Congregational Church St. Mary's Cray on August Bank Holiday to witness the marriage of Mr Harry Cousins with Miss Bessie Dutton, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J Dutton of Saint Pauls Cray. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a dress of pale blue silk voile draped with white tulle and orange blossom, and carried a lovely shower bouquet of choice lilies. Mr George Smallwood acted as best man. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Ivy Smallword (niece of the bridegroom] who was attired in a grey voile and a large black picture hat and she also carried a bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom. There were also two other bridesmaids- Miss Violet Smallwood (niece of the bridegroom) and Miss Lilly Dutton (niece of the bride) who were dressed in white embroidery frocks and carried baskets, the gift of the bridegroom Many presents were received, those sending including: Mr. J Dutton, Mrs. J Dutton ,Mr. J Dutton jnr, Miss E Payne, Mr and Mrs A Dutton, Master Charles Dutton, Mrs Fred Cousins, Mrs Weeden, Mr and Mrs G Smallwood, Mr and Mrs W A Hawes, Miss E Dutton, Mrs and the Misses Reynolds, Miss Algar, Miss Fryer, Miss Payne, Miss Vorley, Miss Dormer, Miss E Dormer, Miss E Cousins, Mr Bob Cousins, Mrs Clarke, Miss Marjorie Clark and employees of William Cook and Sons.
